In late April, a funeral home in Anderson will honor the people who served in Viet Nam with a replica of the Viet Nam wall. For three days, April 25-27, Robert Loose Funeral Home at 200 W. 53
rd St., Anderson, will display the replica and will host various activities around those days.Of the 58,000 names on it, there are 1,531 names of Hoosiers on "The Wall" and over 100 of those names are veterans who had lived in Anderson and the surrounding communities.
"Bringing ‘The Wall’ to Anderson will provide those who have lost loved ones the opportunity to work through their grief," said Rob Loose. "It will also give the community the opportunity to embrace those grieving families and to recognize the 58,000 plus people who lost their lives for all of us."
Adrian Cronauer, best known as "The Voice of Viet Nam" as portrayed by Robin Williams in the movie, "Good Morning, Viet Nam," will be a featured speaker on April 26. Additionally, there will be essay contests to involve local and area children, as well as entertainment and other activities.
